Privacy Policy

We don't run a server. We don't collect analytics. We don't sell data — we have nothing to sell. Here is exactly what that means in practice.

Last updated 7 May 2026 Effective immediately

1. Who we are

Flight Log is an iOS application published by Zukasoft, an independent software studio based in Istanbul, Türkiye. In this policy "we", "us" and "our" refer to Zukasoft. "You" refers to anyone who downloads the Flight Log app or visits this website.

2. The short version

We do not collect, store, sell, share, or analyse your personal data. Your flight history, certificates, duty periods, and any other content you create in Flight Log is stored exclusively in your own private iCloud account, managed by Apple. We have no servers. We never see what you log.

3. What the app does and does not do

3.1 Sign in with Apple

If you sign into Flight Log with Apple, the app receives a stable user identifier from Apple — a hashed token that allows Flight Log to recognise you across devices. We do not see your real Apple ID, your email address (unless you explicitly share it), or any other personal information. The token is stored locally on your device and synced through your private iCloud.

You may also use Flight Log in guest mode without signing in. In guest mode, no identifier of any kind is created.

3.2 iCloud private database

Flight Log uses Apple's CloudKit service to sync your data between your devices. The data is stored in your private CloudKit database, which is part of your personal iCloud account. Apple manages this storage. We — Zukasoft — cannot read, query, modify, or export this data. If you delete your iCloud account, your Flight Log data is deleted with it.

3.3 Local notifications

If you grant notification permission, Flight Log schedules local reminders on your device — for example, certificate expiry warnings or flight duty period alerts. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device. They are not transmitted to any server.

3.4 Spotlight indexing

Flight Log adds your flight entries to your device's local Spotlight search index, so you can find sectors from the system search. The Spotlight index is local to your device and managed by iOS. We do not access or transmit it.

3.5 In-app purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases (Pro, Lifetime, Crew Pro) are processed through Apple's App Store and StoreKit framework. We never receive your payment information. Apple handles billing, taxes, and refunds according to its own policies. Apple shares with us only an anonymous transaction identifier, the product purchased, and the purchase date.

3.6 What the app does not collect

4. The website (this domain)

This website (flightlog.zukasoft.com) is a static marketing site. It does not use cookies, does not run analytics scripts, and does not collect personal information through any form. The only third-party connection is to Google Fonts for typography — Google may log your IP address as part of serving the font files. See Google's privacy policy for details.

Our hosting provider may keep standard server access logs (IP address, user agent, request timestamp). These logs are used solely to operate the website and are deleted on a rolling basis.

5. Your rights under GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations

Because we do not hold your personal data, most data-protection rights (right of access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection) are automatically satisfied: there is nothing of yours for us to access, rectify, erase, port, or object on. The data lives with Apple under your iCloud account, and you control it directly through iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud.

If you nevertheless wish to formally request information, you can email info@zukasoft.com. We will respond within 30 days as required by GDPR Article 12.

6. Children

Flight Log is intended for use by licensed pilots and student pilots, who are typically aged 16 or older. We do not knowingly market to or collect data from children under 13. The App Store age rating reflects this.

7. International data transfers

Because we hold no data, we do not transfer data internationally. Apple's storage of your iCloud data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy and may involve transfer between Apple's data centres. See Apple's privacy policy.

8. Security

Your data's security is handled by Apple — encryption in transit, encryption at rest, account-level access control through Apple ID. We rely on Apple's CloudKit infrastructure, which is the same vault that holds your photos and messages. We have no access keys, no admin dashboard, no engineering staff who can read your records.

9. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will post the revised version at this URL with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes (those that meaningfully expand what we collect or how we use it) will be announced via an in-app notice or App Store update notes. Continued use of Flight Log after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

10. Contact

For privacy questions, requests, or to verify any claim made in this policy, contact us at info@zukasoft.com. We respond within two business days.
